Moonstone (Atari 8-bit) – ALL LIVES LOST

I wrote Moonstone, a text adventure game for the Atari-8 bit computers, way back in 1987. I played it again in 2019 and failed miserably at completing it – you can watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJHZ9J4LpkU

After that video was released @ZXadventurer got in touch and somehow found the solution so I’m finally getting round to sitting down and completing my adventure game once and for all (8 months later).

And if you want to play it and cheat like I did, here’s the solution:

E – E – E – N – N – N – E – E – S – GET SLIPPERS – WEAR SLIPPERS – N – W – W – W – GET HANDKERCHIEF – E – E – E – GIVE HANDKERCHIEF – S – GET FLOWER – N – W – W – W – W – N – E – N – E – N – NW – W – SW – GET TWIG – WAVE TWIG – NE – E – SE – NE – W – N – N – DRINK WATER – EXAMINE DARKNESS – OPEN EYES – THINK – N – NE – GET MOONSTONE – SW – NW – W – SW – NW – GET FLOWER – GET SLIPPERS – WEAR SLIPPERS – SE – NE – E – SE – S – W – S – W – S – E – E – S – S – S – W – W – W – GIVE MOONSTONE

The guy who created the above walkthru left this little note, “If you’ve played this game you’ll know how frustrating mapping the swampland is! The adventure is not at all logical!” – I can’t really argue with that.
